Hayli Kincade has a fantastic soul voice, hers is the
opening vocal on Liverpool Heart.
Hayli works as a vocal coach for up and coming
talent around Merseyside.
Hayli will be working with the next cohort of
BIG CITY SOUL COLLECTIVE
Girl Band Harmonee are a hard working act, so well rehearsed and professional, the girls nailed their backing harmonies with total ease...a delight to work with!
The girls have broken onto the Liverpool club scene.
The girls will be releasing their single
Daddy left home in his Spitfire Aeroplane
Written by BIG CITY SOUL COLLECTIVE
The girl’s tight harmonies lend perfectly
to the 1940s swing genre.
The AFMIM Gospel Choir pictured above
Are a first generation Zimbabwe refugee choir.
Being part of the BCSC has enabled them to
look beyond Norris Green and connect with
and feel a part of the entire city.
The Choir have been a huge asset, performing
Liverpool Heart live in both the city centre and venues.
We arranged for Walter Chawanda (centre) to appear on the BBC RADIO Merseysides
Ngunan Adamu show Upfront,
on which Walter talked about his faith and his music.
Walter's solo single (God Did It) was played on
the show.
This has proved to be a fantastic oportunity for Walter to connect with merseyside’s wider
black gospel community.
We continue to help Walter develop his career
and to further connect the AFMIM choir into Liverpool's
musical community
Lead vocal performances were delivered by:
Walter Chahwanda, Merylene Mungoyo
Ruvarashe Mugayapi
November 2014
Walter won
Best Male
Gospel Singer
Zimbabwe Music
Awards.
Whitefield Primary School
The children were so well reheased.
There’s something extra special about Christmas
when you have your own Christmas single.
Playing the final mix to the school assembly was fabulous....

Members of The Liverpool Community Choir
Such a hard working, professional, talented group of people.
What a delight to hear Liverool Heart's chorus sung by a full choir
for the first time.
What a joy it was to perform with them at St Georges Hall
at the Lord Mayors Carol Concert.
Brothers Michael and Martin Fazel

Working with the Choir With No Name
will go down in my top ten favourite
musical experiences
Hand on heart, the Sunday evening recording session with
the Choir With No Name, a newly formed Liverpool Homeless Choir, was one of the most moving musical experiences of my life,
as was it also for the rest of the
studio team.
“It’s actually hard to explain what
happened, but happen it did”.
As we sat waiting for the play back the whole room was still in nervous anticipation, to listening to your own voice recorded professionally is a rare thing.
After a weekend of amazing vocal performances the entire studio was on a high.
But the Choir With No Name were feeling out of place and out of depth....
However,.....they had Mieke to build them up and ready them for the performance
“Do you think any
of that will be
usable?”
The question that
inspired an instant
rough mix for all to
hear....
The quality of the performance inspired the mixing of the Joe Maddocks / Choir With No Name version of Liverpool Heart.
The song was cut as a disc and giftedto all members of the Choir to gift or sell keeping the proceeds for themselves.
“Look what I did, something extraordinary”
Don’t underestimate the power of self pride.
Concentration
Kinship
Meilke pulling out the stops...
On play back the lady sat in the middle of the photo below was the first to begin crying with joy followed by the rest of the studio.
They’d achieved something remarkable.
